With the financial support of Norway grants, as part of the "Correctional Services" programme pre-defined project "Establishment of Training centre infrastructure and model prison blocks for training opportunities in the Olaine prison territory" from 20 to 22 February were organized training for different levels of managers. The training programme were developed within the framework of the ESF project and approbated within the Norway grants project.
In the three-day trainings participated representatives from the central office of the Latvian Prison Administration, the Training Centre, as well as from several Latvian prisons.
Main topics of the trainings:
- Management and leadership skills;
- Security and safety – a holistic perspective and understanding;
- Dynamic security in practice;
- Risk management and risk analysis;
- Management/leadership – how to motivate staff;
- Management/leadership – cultural change;
- Daily management and practice in your department;
- Everyone's personal leadership abilities.
Training was conducted by lecturers from the University College of the Norwegian Correctional Service (KRUS) - Ole Stageberg un Leo Emblemsvag.
