The Latvian Prison Administration continues to work during the state of emergency declared in the country, including the implementation of the project "Establishment of Training centre infrastructure and model prison blocks for training opportunities in the Olaine prison territory".
The planned experience exchange visits regarding the establishment of the mentorship system are currently postponed; however, the work is being continued through implementation of other planned activities such as the procurement process operation for the Training centre and model prison block construction, mentor training programme development, research, creation of the Latvian Prison Administration annual magazine and other activities aimed at creating a modern environment and content for Latvian correctional service staff trainings.
